"Hum mein aur unmein kuchh farq hai. Aur ye farq rehna chahiye. Ye Indian Army hai. Hum dushmani mein bhi ek sharafat rakhte hain." - Lakshya (2004 Hindi feature film).

(Translation) "There's a small difference between them and us. And this difference must be there, because this is Indian Army and we maintain a certain bit of decency even in hostility."

The Republic day of India holds a significant place in our democracy. It was on 26th January in 1950, when the Indian Constitution came into effect.

Although India got its independence on August 15, 1947, it was only on November 26, 1949, that our Constitution was approved and later came into force on this day in 1950.

Here is a glimpse of the Republic Day Celebrations at KMC Greens, Manipal, where all the institutions of MAHE participated in the parade and the brisk movements during the marching had set the day for a thrilling start.
